Creating a Supersequence

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This topic assumes a knowledge of the material in the Creating Supersequences topic.

Once the necessary Sub Passes have been created they need to be assembled into a Supersequence. Supersequence controls the order of excavation of Sub Passes. Where Sub Passes are mutually exclusive (this is typically the case for Dragline Sub Passes) they must appear serially (one after the other) in the Supersequence. Where Sub Passes can be performed in parallel (such as a sub pass dozing a bench from pre-existing spoil and Dragline Sub Pass) they can be structured in parallel in the Supersequence.

Supersequences for Dragline Simulation are assembled using the Supersequence Editor:

Supersequences Editor – Dragline Simulation Supersequence.

Supersequences Editor – Dragline Simulation Supersequence.

To create a Dragline Simulation Supersequence open the Supersequences editor and select the appropriate Excavation Template from the Excavation Template pulldown list. Once the appropriate Excavation Template is selected the Sub Passes will appear in the Sub Passes list (this was the Subsequences list for Automated Excavation and Dump Sequencing). The Sub Passes are selected as required and added to the Supersequence using the Add and Insert buttons in the same manner as is used to add Subsequences to Automated Excavation and Dump Supersequence.

If a particular Dragline Simulation spans several strips, the Excavation Template for each Strip can be selected in turn and the Supersequence can be built from Sub passes acquired from various Strips.
