Prior to setting up a Automated Dragline Sequence the following must be established:
•For each Pass determine the number of Sub Passes required, And the characteristics of each Sub Pass.
•For each Sub Pass determine the Moves that will be required to form the Procedure which the dragline simulation will use.
Setting up a Automated Dragline Sequence involves the following steps.
1.For each Pass in the operation create an Excavation Template.
2.In the Excavation Template for a particular Pass create all the necessary Moves. Note Bulldozer Moves can be created as well as Dragline Moves.
3.Create a Raw Sequence for the pass. This Raw Sequence will include an entry for every Move at every Block.
4.In the Excavation Template assemble the necessary Procedures for each proposed Sub Pass. The procedure is a list of Moves in order of execution.
5.In the Excavation Template assemble the Sub Passes. A Sub Pass is a list of contiguous blocks and the Procedure that will be used to excavate.
6.In the Dump Settings dialog create the necessary Dragline Dumps and Bulldozer Dumps.
7.Using the Supersequence editor assemble the necessary Supersequence for the Dragline Simulation. The Supersequence is simply the list of Sub passes in order of execution.
8.In the Dragline Simulation dialog select the Supersequence for the particular Simulation.
9.In the Dragline Simulation dialog assign the desired Dump Hierarchy to each Move.
10.In the Dragline Simulation dialog set the appropriate reporting and capture settings and run the Simulation.
Once a successful Dragline Simulation has been established it's parameters can be readily modified and the simulation rerun. This allows problematic will non-feasible parts of the design to be remedied and allows the practical optimisation of key operating parameters such as rehandle productivity and overall execution time for the operation.
