Importing Geological and Design Surfaces.

In 3d-DigPlus all surfaces other than the Terrain Surfaces are referred to as Inner Surfaces. These include geological surfaces and design surfaces (strip designs, benches etc). Two inner surfaces can be used to create a Layer. Layer is an interval between two Inner Surfaces. A coal seam is an example of a structure that can be modelled as a Layer. Once a Layer is defined it can be set to render is distinctive colour where it is exposed on the topography.

Creating and modifying Cross Sections.

Cross Sections are created via an interactive point and click process. Once the source Cross Section is drawn on the Terrain Surface Cross Section window is created displaying the cross-sectional view. Once a Cross Section is created it can be edited or moved.A Section consisting of a single line segment with two endpoints is referred to as a Cross Section. A Section with multiple line segments is referred to as a Longitudinal Section.
