Edit SurfaceThis dialog box accesses settings of Terrain Inner Surfaces. These are surfaces representing, for example, coal seams, spoil dump surfaces and grade profiles. This is the name of the inner surface to be modified. The settings are individual to each inner surface. Min. PointThis is the minimum point of the selected inner surface. Max. PointThis is the maximum point of the selected inner surface. Show Trace on TerrainAn Inner Surface Trace is a series of curves, drawn on the terrain surface. These curves are formed by the intersection between the inner surface and the terrain surface. If this box is checked the program shows trace of the selected inner surface on the terrain surface. The inner surface trace is calculated once for a given inner surface. This may be a slow operation. It is then redisplayed unchanged in all current and new terrain windows. Excavation of the terrain leads to recalculation of the inner trace. Trace & Section colorThis option allows users to set the color of each inner surface trace. Active LevelThis parameter allows users to set a height level for areas where there are no inner surface data. The default value is equal to the minimum height of the selected inner surface. Used in LayerThis list shows the layers limited by the selected inner surface (i.e. all the layers for which this inner surface is a boundary). Delete Data Points ButtonThis button deletes all data points of the selected inner surface. Delete Data Features ButtonThis button deletes all data features of the selected inner surface. Delete Surface Features ButtonThis button deletes all surface features of the selected inner surface. Delete Triangulation ButtonThis button deletes the triangulation of selected inner surface. Delete Grid ButtonThis button deletes the surface grid of selected inner surface. Close ButtonThis button closes the Edit Inner Surface dialog box. If any changed settings are not saved the user will be prompted to save them before the window is closed. New ButtonCreates a new "empty" inner surface with no data. Terrain Surface Data may be added to a Terrain Inner Surface by: •Reading in Terrain Surface Data using File/Open or File/Import •Showing the created inner surface in a Terrain Graphics Window. This window should be in Data mode. Data may then be added to the inner surface window using Terrain/Create Features and Terrain/Create Points menu items. A surface triangulation and a surface grid may then be generated for the inner surface using the Terrain/Triangulate and Terrain/Calculate Grid menu items. Delete ButtonThis button deletes the selected inner surface. All data and layers associated with the inner surface will be lost. Save ButtonThis button saves all changed settings. |
