Dump Surfaces & Staged Dumping

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This tutorial covers two functions:

Generating a Benched Dump Surface. This function takes as input a Surface Feature representing the footprint of a proposed Dump. It allows the user to generate a benched dump surface within this footprint. This results in an Inner Surface which can be used as a Dump Constraining Surface. The Dump Surface function is explained in the User Manual topic Generating Dump Surfaces.

Staged Dumping. In the previous tutorial exercise we created an Advancing Dump which dumped material in a single lift from one end of the Dump to the other. Stage Dumping allows a dump to be built via a series of benched lifts. The principles of Staged Dumping are explained in the Creating Staged Dumps topic.
