Linked Simulation

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Linked Simulation is a simplified former simulation available in the Generic and Topographic Simulation module. Link Simulation is explained in the Linked Simulation topic of the User Manual.

In order to perform a Linked Simulation the following components unnecessary:

An Excavation Template with Inner and Outer Polygons in place on the Terrain Surface (i.e. an excavation ready to execute).

Dump Template with a Dump Line or Area in place on the Terrain Surface (i.e. Dump ready to dump material)

Linked Simulation Template appropriately set up.

When the Linked Simulation is executed the excavation is performed in a series of steps, after each excavation step the material is dumped automatically.

The following tutorial uses the design file set up during the Excavation and Dump tutorials. This file has the Excavation and Dump set up and only requires the set up of the Linked Simulation Template. Running the Dump Tutorial 4 video clip will demonstrate the background to this file set up.
